The South Korean brand is developing a new security system that is intended to address situations of forgotten children or trapped inside the car. A drama that affected more than 800 families since 1994.
The technology is based on an ultrasonic radar system ready to detect movements in the subsequent places. When motion is detected, the system alerts the driver, first through a message on the instrument panel, then, if the driver leaves the car and locks it, the device triggers a sound and light warning.
Hyundai will launch the technology across the range from 2019.
