There are three dozen of records…
Jaguar and Land Rover registered around three dozen of names which gives us some clues about the models that we can expect next time.
Some of the registered designations include Westminster, XJS, Freestyle, Landy, Range Rover Classic, P-Type, T-Type, C-XE, iXE, diXE, XEdi, XEi, CXF, CXJ, Sawtooth, Stormer and Landmark.
The usage of all the names is very unlikely, however, protecting them will assure that the competition, namely, the ones from Chinese origin, will not be able to use them.
Some of the designations are already known from Jaguar and Land Rover, such as XJS, Freestyle, Landmark, Sawtooth or Stormer, the name used by the study that anticipated the Range Rover Sport.
Others specify future models, namely, the electric version of the XE (C-XE, iXE, diXE, XEdi, XEi), while the P-Type or the T-Type seem to suggest the expansion of the sports range.
