So far, you probably only saw the spectacular Vision 6 Cabriolet in pictures, and have not seen it moving yet. But Mercedes-Maybach has unveiled a video in which it is possible to appreciate how this model, with a style able to combine the retro side with the technological modernism, moves in the roads … in absolute silence.
Or almost, since you can hear, as background noise, the waves crashing on the shore, reinforcing once again the idea that this prototype – which it is, at this moment – appeals to the luxury and refinement with the tranquility of the electric motor to help.
The Cabriolet follows closely the footsteps left by last year’s coupé concept, showing exuberant dimensions (almost six meters), but now the ‘open sky’, in what the brand nicknamed “automotive haute couture”.
The nautical blue paint, the short wind shield and the huge 24-inch wheels (with central fixing) translate a vision of great impact and enormous refinement, and also by confession of its own designers a tendency to approach the world of large luxury yachts, something that is noticeable in the rear section with purist and aerodynamic lines.
The engine is powered by four electric units for a total combined power of 750 hp (550 kW), which allows it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds, while the top speed is limited to 250 km/h.
