Everything about the most “cheap” model of theElon Musk brand.
Tesla has released the official (including interior) images and features of one of the most anticipated models of recent times, the Model E, the long-awaited Tesla of 35,000 USD (£ 27,150).
Tesla’s entry-level model will be available in two versions, the base, which will cost the mentioned 35,000 USD (£ 27,150), and a longer range starting from 44.000 USD (£ 34,140). These prices are for the United States.
It is confirmed that it will also have a 220 miles (354 km) autonomy with a single load, which rises to the 310 miles (498 km) in the longer autonomy version. The acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h varies between 5.6 and 5.1 seconds and the maximum speed is 130 and 170 mph (210 and 225 km/h), respectively.
The two versions will also have differences in the load capacity: 130 miles (210 km) in 30 minutes of loading in the Tesla Supercharger for the access version (the 210 miles autonomy), and 170 miles (274 km) for the same time in the case of the larger version autonomy. In the 240v and 32A home outlet, it will be possible to charge 30 miles (48 km) in just one hour, 37 miles (60 km) in the Long Range version.
The interior is simple and minimalist, highlighting the huge 15-inch touch screen in the console, where you can control all the functions of the Model 3. The 18-inch wheels are standard, the 19-inch wheels cost 1,500 dollars.
Optionally, for 5,000 USD (£ 3,880), the Autopilot system will be available, with autonomous driving features, which may be fully autonomous in the future, for a further 3,000 USD (£ 2,330).
“We are building the cars as fast as we can,” said Elon Musk during the first 30-unit delivery event. “Production will grow exponentially in the coming months, with 1,500 cars in August and reach 20,000 units in December,” said Tesla CEO and founder.
In Europe, the first deliveries of Model 3 will take place sometime in the middle of 2018. Only then will the definitive specifications and prices for the European market be known.
