If you’ve ever tried to follow another vehicle’s movement or look at a roadway, you’ve probably complained about losing your visibility because you were stuck with the front pillar of your car.
This is a problem that may soon disappear, thanks to a new patented Toyota invention.
The front pillar, or A-pillar, could never be removed since it is an important part of the car’s structure, ensuring the safety of the driver and passengers. However, it would be benificial if it disappeared because of the visibility. Toyotas invention allows the pillar to be effectively invisible, allowing the driver to see the exterior of the car without interruption.
Although it was possible to do this with a camera, such a system would be too expensive. Instead, Toyota has patented a complicated set of concave and convex mirrors, which transfers the image to the interior.
