Ken Block’s fame precedes him.
The rally and drift rider has won fame for his gymkhana videos – obstacle courses masterfully designed to enhance his expertise – already in its tenth version, with the latest to present a novelty in the shape of the terrain chosen.
This time, Block went to the Utah desert to film his latest video, achieved in collaboration with Pennzoil, the lubricants brand. In ‘Terrakhana’, Ken Block defies the laws of physics again at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta RX43, which has about 600 CV of power.
If his Gymkhana videos on the asphalt were already spectacular, the latter – filmed in the area of Swing Arm, which was created for the practice of TT – also increases the risk, especially with one of the maneuvers made in a ramp that is named ‘Knife’s Edge’. In the conception of this video, Block had to take into account also the dust and the many rocks present in the course, having the need to avoid any damage due to these two circumstances.
