For an exclusive car even more exclusive
Porsche has released a video showing the new carbon fiber wheels (and their manufacture) that will be available initially for the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series.
The most powerful Porsche ever will be an exclusive edition of 500 copies and will arrive in Portugal with a price of around 266 thousand pounds.
Now, the exclusivity could be further strengthened by those who pay a further 13.530 pounds (price in Germany) to endow the 911 Turbo S Exclusive Series with the new carbon fiber wheels.
For the manufacture of these 20-inch wheels (with a combined weight of 32 kg) central locking, Porsche resorted to the world’s largest braiding machine to form the base of the rim with 18 kilometers (11.2 miles) of carbon fiber fabric.
More than two million kilometers (1.25 million miles) of tests later, the German brand presents a unique 20 percent lighter and stronger rim that promises a performance of one hundred per cent to those who can step on the accelerator of this machine that accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.9 seconds.
