It arrives in 2018
The new BMW M5 is officially unveiled with the launch of the new 600 hp sedan by the German brand. Online images appeared with the characteristic BMW blue tone. The photos released by the brand this afternoon, add a grena tone to M5’s First Edition of 2018.
The First Edition replaces chrome of the conventional version with black giving it an even more sporty look.
The car will hit the market next year, but the sensations of driving it can be achieved virtually in Autumn. “While the M5 will not be officially launched until next spring, Need for Speed players can drive it exclusively in Need for Speed Payback,” said BMW M Division President Frank van Meel.
This Monday’s presentation of the new M5 was done by BMW in partnership with Electronic Arts in the interactive games and entertainment Gamescom fair – the first time the brand showed a car in partnership with a video game.
From one end to the other, we can already see the news of even more pronounced air entries in the front of the car, straight lines as the recently revealed Concept Z4, new headlights design, a new conception, aluminum wheels, new rear view mirror and a rear in which the two double exhausts flank a black diffuser.
The interior does not disappoint in the richness of the instruments at hand while maintaining a constancy where the new design of the lever of the eight-speed M Steptronic box shines. With the all-wheel-drive M xDrive, the new M5 with a V8 4.4 TwinPower Turbo engine with 600 hp and 750 Nm of torque promises to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just three seconds.
