Tesla plans to widen its range is starting to take shape. A Truck will be shown in September, a year and a half later a pick-up. To which asports convertible will follow.
If Model 3’s entry into production and its actual arrival on the market is the main reason for the momentum surrounding Tesla’s activity, the Palo Alto brand does not disregard its future. And it has already given new and important indications regarding the expansion of its offer. As always through Twitter, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has said that his portfolio of models will also include a truck, a pick-up truck and a convertible. And it even set indicative deadlines for the revelation of each one.
Thus, and after the presentation of the definitive version of Model 3 in July, the electric truck will be shown already next September. Between 18 and 24 months later, Tesla will announce its pick-up, which is also exclusively electric.
As for the convertible, it will mark the return of Tesla to its origins, or not if it had the brand launched in the market through a roadster (in the photogallery). But this time, everything points to a reinterpretation of the theme, through a cabrio for at least four occupants, but certainly with benefits, and performance even more sporting than their original proposal. The disclosure date for the latter is yet to be known, but will hardly occur before the end of the decade.
